Feedback is what makes a system intelligent. It enables response and adaptation. A thermostat is a feedback loop. So is a fire alarm.
So is a crowd reacting to a change in space.
In architecture, feedback is often latent. But in cyber-physical design, it can become central: lighting that adjusts, envelopes
that breathe, structures that monitor stress. Feedback loops create dialogue between building and occupant, environment and control.
They are the future of responsive, ethical, and self-aware architecture.
